Meet Our Leadership
Rev. Kirk was born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia. A proud graduate of Statesboro High School, he went on to earn a degree from Georgia Southern University before completing a Master of Divinity at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.
Since arriving in Brooklet in June of 2024, Pastor Kirk has loved becoming part of the network that makes up Brooklet and Southeast Georgia – from farmers to teachers to neighbors it is great being part of this community.
When not serving the church, he stays busy trying to keep up with two energetic kids, Wesley and Henry. He also enjoys playing a little golf and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
Rev. Dr. Rick Mitchell has served in ministry for over four decades, beginning his pastoral journey in 1978 and retiring in 2022. He now serves part-time at Brooklet Community Church. A native of Brunswick, GA and a lifelong learner, he holds degrees from Valdosta State, Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University, where he earned honors for innovation in preaching.

Roseanna is married to Stephen Hoyle, and together they have two daughters, Chyann and Jade, as well as a soon-to-be son-in-law, Ty Hamilton. The Hoyles enjoy traveling and spending time at the beach or lake with friends and family.
In addition to her work at the church, Roseanna is the owner of Southern Dance Academy in Brooklet, where she has shared her passion for dance and taught for over 40 years.
She graduated from Georgia Southern University in May 2025 with a degree in Public Relations. While at Georgia Southern, Chloe was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and continues to stay connected as an alumna.
She joined the staff of Brooklet Community Church in June 2025 as our Children’s Minister. In this role, she oversees weekly programming such as Sunday School, Children’s Church, and midweek activities. She also leads and equips a team of dedicated volunteers who invest in the spiritual lives of children. Chloe is passionate about helping kids experience the love of Jesus in ways that are both engaging and age-appropriate. She enjoys building relationships with families and walking alongside parents in their journey of faith.
When she is at home, Chloe can often be found playing with her dog, going to the gym, or getting together with friends. She also loves painting and using her creativity as an outlet outside of her ministry work.
