Since arriving in Brooklet in June of 2024, Pastor Kirk has loved becoming part of the network that makes up Brooklet and Southeast Georgia – from farmers to teachers to neighbors it is great being part of this community.
When not serving the church, he stays busy trying to keep up with two energetic kids, Wesley and Henry. He also enjoys playing a little golf and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
Rev. Dr. Rick Mitchell has served in ministry for over four decades, beginning his pastoral journey in 1978 and retiring in 2022. He now serves part-time at Brooklet Community Church. A native of Brunswick, GA and a lifelong learner, he holds degrees from Valdosta State, Asbury Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University, where he earned honors for innovation in preaching.
He and his wife Debra have three children and four grandchildren. Outside of work, he spends his time reading, singing, and playing the piano.
Casey was born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia, and has always had a heart for both people and ministry. A 2009 graduate of Bulloch Academy, he went on to earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sport Management—with a minor in Marketing—from Georgia Southern University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry from Guido Bible College in Metter, Georgia.
He joined the Brooklet Community Church family in March of 2024 and has truly enjoyed getting to know the people and being a part of the life and fellowship of the church. His love for connecting with others and building meaningful relationships shines through in everything he does.
Outside of church, he enjoys playing tennis, fishing, spending time with his family, attending Georgia Southern and University of Georgia sporting events, competing in tennis tournaments, and going to the beach.
Roseanna was born and raised in Brooklet, Georgia. She is a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and Georgia Southern University. In November 2025, Roseanna will celebrate 33 years of faithful service as church secretary—a role she continues to cherish, especially through her involvement with the church’s many ministry programs.
Roseanna is married to Stephen Hoyle, and together they have two daughters, Chyann and Jade, as well as a soon-to-be son-in-law, Ty Hamilton. The Hoyles enjoy traveling and spending time at the beach or lake with friends and family.
In addition to her work at the church, Roseanna is the owner of Southern Dance Academy in Brooklet, where she has shared her passion for dance and taught for over 40 years.
She graduated from Georgia Southern University in May 2025 with a degree in Public Relations. While at Georgia Southern, Chloe was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and continues to stay connected as an alumna.
She joined the staff of Brooklet Community Church in June 2025 as our Children’s Minister. In this role, she oversees weekly programming such as Sunday School, Children’s Church, and midweek activities. She also leads and equips a team of dedicated volunteers who invest in the spiritual lives of children. Chloe is passionate about helping kids experience the love of Jesus in ways that are both engaging and age-appropriate. She enjoys building relationships with families and walking alongside parents in their journey of faith.
When she is at home, Chloe can often be found playing with her dog, going to the gym, or getting together with friends. She also loves painting and using her creativity as an outlet outside of her ministry work.
Hannah Joy graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2014 with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Hospitality Management. She joined the staff of Brooklet Community Church in 2023 as our Preschool Director. The Brooklet Community Church Preschool has served families in Brooklet and surrounding communities for over 40 years. Under Hannah Joy’s leadership, the preschool continues its strong tradition of faith-based education and care. Each year, more than 90 children are enrolled in the weekday preschool and childcare program. The preschool also provides an afterschool program that supports over 80 families in the community. Hannah Joy is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. She values building strong relationships with families and supporting parents in these important early years.
Outside of work, she and her husband Eddie are raising their two children. She enjoys cheering on the Georgia Southern Eagles, spending time with friends, and making trips to the beach whenever possible.
